Tany
-Tany is brittany a friend from both my first and second lacrosse stints. I like being around brit, and would bet whoever spends time with her a lot feels the same,. Brit lives in NYC, so she's making it ;) Brit is from Wisconsin Dells, and she worked at a water park (i think) as a kid, so she was the one who never had to wait in lines.

Jodi Jean
-Jodi is one of my girlfriends best friends, she can sing, and play the guitar, and do anything. she is really silly, but seriously serious. Jodi was not my friend in college until I started dating Sarah, but i was young and obnoxious, so i don't blame her. Jodi lives here in Chicago up in edgewater, and her band, tiger moon, plays around town every couple of weeks.

Maggie
-Maggie did not make a good impression on me when we met, I thought she was mean. And, well she is kinda mean, but also funny, smart and talented. She works as a nanny, and she is a poet. Like a real poet, who writes things i like. She lives in logan square just a few blocks from me, and she screen prints, onesey's for the tots. I met her because she is super good friends with my former co-worker and friend...

-Sara mathers, funny, loud, self-assured, sound like any one's blog your reading? Sara is from illinois but she has a southern accent, (don't tell her I said it,) she used to work with me at peace action, and now is my neighbor. I have had some of the biggest fights I have had in chicago with her, but like me, she is quick to let things go, for the good of a friendship.

Circus
-Circus Is Ben Shultz, I worked with ben at peace action, when I first moved to chicago. He lives with Sara Mathers just a few blocks from me. Ben also built my bike (which is broken) I bought it at working bikes, which is one of the places ben works now.

keith
- keith is my boss at steppenwolf, and the man i stole this idea from. Keith is great, I really like him as a boss and a friend. He is an ensemble member at the rogue theatre in andersonville. He is also into music in a big way, he is taking a weekend off from the show he is in, to go to bonaroo... enough said.

Joel
- Joel is a college friend, he lives in boystown and is a manager? at roscoes on halstead. he and my girlfriend are super-good friends and I really like hanging out with him. also he looks like a high fashion model (read super handsome gay guy) and I think he is the kinda guy that will take really good care of some other lucky guy someday.

Jay
- There was a time when I thought Jay was the funniest man alive. I may still think that, but he doesn't live by me so I don't always think about it. Jay's college diploma reads Jay the Jester. no last name just Jay the Jester. he is great with kids and played the back half of snuffalupagus in sesame street live, and some monster or dragon in dragon tales live. Now I have no idea where he is or what he's doing. whatever it is I am sure he is making people laugh.

Mandi

Mandi, is friends with drex, not sure where from though, she proclaims she is a madam, like as in "I got some girls that work for me," type madam. She exploded in a drunken rage last time she came to poker, and i think I am afraid of her.

Jake
-Jake I know from college, in La Crosse, Wi. he directed me in our town, and is quick, smart, funny, an asshole? I can relate. Jake lived with jay and ed, in Minneapolis, that is where I started to hang out with him more often. Now, I have no idea what he is up to, but based on his myspace picture, he has found himself a "steady"

Steph
-Steph is tall, she is friends with Katie Mayar, or someone in that crew, I see Steph every few weeks, she seems positive and friendly, in this city where dissing is everyone's preferred way to talk about each other. when I say tall, I mean it, she is over 6 foot tall. I should see if she has any extra pants I could have.

Barbi
-Barbi is the mother of a child in Ben Minnis' preschool class. I met her once or twice, I think she moved from Eugene Oregon, to Bellingham Washington, tough life...

- Known as amy shipley, to the non-virtual world, I met her thru Jim Fitches, and promptly fell in love with her; I am not intimidated easily, but this woman scares me. I don't know if we are friends, I don't know if she knows you I am when we "re-meet," and I think I am usually pretty memorable. I think she is a traveler, I think... I don't really know what the fuck she does. I wish I hung out with her, we would be chums I am sure.

Adam
- Mr Smit, went to Africa. For real, last week, for like 9 months. Adam worked at Peace Action and was seriously skilled. He was a strong conservative christian as a kid and is still coming into his own. Like you might think, (what with the 9 month Africa trip) Adam is out to change the world, I won't be surprised when he does.

shakeydog
-brenden, or brandon, but I think brenden, is friends with bella, and bikes like a boy should in chicago. he is young and talented, he makes art, he had a piece up at lalapolooza, bella is found of him, so I like him for no other reason.

Janelle
-the first time I met Janelle, she was really fucked up, on some drugs that I can't recall at the moment. I met her at the home of jay, jake, and ed, in minneapolis. she lived in their building and that is that. She always seemed nice and friendly, I really know very little about her... married I think? whatever, janelle and I are by no means close, but on myspace, if you know them, and they ask, we're friends.

-Katie Mayer is a smart cookie, she is more critical than most of my friends, but is by no means mean. I first met Katie thru Jim as they moved here together from Colorado. She is now dating Mike Rammer, another Peace action alum. Maybe katie likes the peace slingers. she has a cute cat, and a coffee grinder that hangs on the wall in her kitchen, cool!

Elliot
-Elliot is a kaplan-ite. He is also my #1 myspace friend, for we made a New Years resolution to be best friends by the end of the year. 1/3 of the way thru we are closer than we were, so it seems we are on our way. He is dating my old roommate and co-worker Julia Goeke. Like most cool chicago kids, elliot is full of wit.

Shaky Feet
-Nate Otto in the real world; Nate is my current roommate, My friend sara, found nate to be her roommate on the craigslist, and I stole him to be mine when julia moved to uptown. Nate is cynical, smart, old?, and an artist. I like him as a roommate because he, like me, is dirty and lazy, but willing to be clean when it is needed. Nate has become one of, if not the, most feared poker players at our game. (i am better than him though, no matter what he says.)

Nadia
-Nadia, what to say, where to begin? Nadia is fabulous in every sense of the word. She and I butted heads all the time when we/she were/was in college, and are too similar to ever really get along. However, I respect and in a way envy her. I think in a different life I would have fallen in love with her, she is beautiful and has like 25 beautiful sisters, she sings funny songs, does funny things, is loud, and obnoxious, and is on her way.
